IEEE CISOSE 2023 Co-located Conferences

Cloud Computing technologies have become the backbone of modern IT infrastructures. Businesses usually adopt a multi-hybrid cloud strategy to achieve optimized portfolios of cloud services provided by different vendors and avoid single vendor lock-in. Meanwhile, this strategy brings technical challenges and complexities to build, manage and operate multi-hybrid clouds. JointCloud is used to refer to but not limited to Hybrid-Cloud, Inter-Cloud, Multi-Cloud, Cloud Federation, Cross-Cloud and Cloud Service Broker (CSB) etc. The IEEE JCC 2023 aims to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange innovative ideas, latest research results, and practical experiences and lessons learned around JointCloud. The conference will be co-located with IEEE SOSE 2023, IEEE BigDataService 2023, IEEE MobileCloud 2023, IEEE DAPPS 2023, IEEE JCC 2023, IEEE AITEST 2023 will consist of main tracks and special tracks.

All accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings which will be published by the IEEE CPS. Selected papers will be invited for extension and published in selected journals (SCI-Index).

Service-Oriented Computing exploits services as the fundamental elements of computer-based systems. It has been applied to various areas . Consequently, a new paradigm of software and system engineering discipline, i.e. Service-Oriented Engineering, has emerged and advanced rapidly in the past decade. Recent advances in service oriented computing, in particular Internet-of-Things, Industry 4.0, Edge and Fog computing, mobile and cloud computing combined with Big Data analytics, robotics, blockchain and decentralised ledger applications, and application of artificial intelligence and deep learning techniques, etc., have provided exciting opportunities to make significant progress in understanding and solving complex real-world challenges.

Starting from 2005, SOSE is a pioneering IEEE sponsored international conference devoted to the research in engineering service-oriented systems. It covers all aspects of service-oriented engineering from architectures, techniques, tools and languages to methodologies. Continuing the tradition of the last twelve editions of SOSE Symposia, the 17th SOSE intends to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange latest observations, insights, achievements and visions in Service-Oriented System Engineering. SOSE 2023 invites original submissions in all the areas of the system engineering and software engineering methods, techniques, tools, applications, and experiments for software services.

The conference also welcomes workshop proposals – seeks the submission of high-quality papers limited to up to 10 pages (IEEE format) in length. All accepted papers will be included in the proceedings. Selected papers will be invited for extension and published in journals (SCI-Index).”

As computing systems become increasingly larger, more complex, distributed, and integrated, Big Data technologies and services are ever more vital. IEEE BigDataService 2023 provides an internationally leading forum for researchers and practitioners in academia and industry to exchange innovative ideas and share latest results, experiences and lessons learned in this crucial domain.

The conference will be co-located with IEEE SOSE 2023, IEEE MobileCloud 2023, IEEE DAPPS 2023, IEEE JCC 2023, IEEE AITEST 2023, and will consist of a main track and special tracks.

“The integration of mobile computing, edge, and cloud services enables new applications that provide resources and services on an intelligent basis, process big data collected from mobile sensors, connected vehicles, and support the Internet of things (IoT) with massive edge and cloud-based backend. 5G technology will be a key enabler of this integration. Such mobile applications will have tremendous impacts on many aspects of our life, including transportation/V2X, e-commerce, healthcare, smart homes and smart cities, social interaction, and many more.

Mobile Cloud provides a platform for researchers from academia and industry to share their latest research ideas and results, experimental activities, and the emerging industry technologies on mobile cloud computing, services, and engineering. Papers will be judged based on originality, significance, clarity, relevance, and correctness.

DApps allow for various novel application scenarios, which are built upon distributed consensus and thus are hard to block or censor while providing public verifiability of peer-to-peer transactions without a trusted central party. For that, permissionless Blockchains such as Bitcoin or Ethereum rely on an unrestricted set of participants that run a (often time-consuming) consensus algorithm among them. In contrast, permissioned Blockchains, such as Hyperledger Fabric, distribute trust among a restricted set of consensus participants, a setup that can be well suited to model enterprise application scenarios in a more scalable fashion.

IEEE DAPPS 2023 will provide a high-quality forum for participants from research and industry. The conference will discuss key theories, algorithms, infrastructures, and significant applications for Decentralized Applications and Infrastructures, as well as emerging research topics.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies are widely used in computer applications to perform tasks such as monitoring, forecasting, recommending, prediction, and statistical reporting. They are deployed in a variety of systems including driverless vehicles, robot-controlled warehouses, financial forecasting applications, and security enforcement and are increasingly integrated with cloud/fog/edge computing, big data analytics, robotics, Internet-of-Things, mobile computing, smart cities, smart homes, intelligent healthcare, etc. In spite of this dramatic progress, the quality assurance of existing AI application development processes is still far from satisfactory and the demand for being able to show demonstrable levels of confidence in such systems is growing. Software testing is a fundamental, effective and recognized quality assurance method which has shown its cost-effectiveness to ensure the reliability of many complex software systems. However, the adaptation of software testing to the peculiarities of AI applications remains largely unexplored and needs extensive research to be performed. On the other hand, the availability of AI technologies provides an exciting opportunity to improve existing software testing processes, and recent years have shown that machine learning, data mining, knowledge representation, constraint optimization, planning, scheduling, multi-agent systems, etc. have real potential to positively impact on software testing. Recent years have seen a rapid growth of interests in testing AI applications as well as application of AI techniques to software testing. This conference provides an international forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange novel research results, to articulate the problems and challenges from practices, to deepen our understanding of the subject area with new theories, methodologies, techniques, processes models, etc., and to improve the practices with new tools and resources.
